A Collection of Needlework Patterns from the Italian Renaissance
$14.95Price
This little book is a neat hitorical glance at how patterns appeared in early printwork in the 1500's. These are former wood carvings, and some of the patterns can be used for counted work (cross stitch), and some were used as lace, openwork and pulled needlework patterns. The charts are the original woodcuts, so they don't look all fancy like our modern patterns, but they are usable for projects.
