MAF & LE Treacher Sampler 1849 by The Wishing Thorn
"English reproduction sampler pattern, one of the benefits is that it is fairly small only 11.75 by 9.5 inches. I adore the faded soft muted colors. This is such an elegant piece. The verse used was a favorite for this era. Both stitchers of this sampler were extremely neat and accomplished stitchers."
Design Area: 199 stitches wide by 167 stitches high
Threads are DMC floss.
Your fabric should measure 17 inches (43cm) wide by 15 inches (39cm) high. This includes extra fabric around all sides for finishing.
Two strands of floss are used for all cross-stitches
The original was stitched with silk thread over two threads of linen. If you would like to replace the faded beige color (DMC 3782) the back of the piece shows that DMC 407 would be a good match. I think it would look lovely on 36ct Country Mocha Vintage Edinburgh Linen by Zweigart
