Samplers by Rebecca Scott

This book is a great jumping off point for those just starting to learn about samplers, but it's also perfect for a sampler lover's library. 128 pages, soft (but firm) cover. Published originally in 2009, this is now out of print. The many pictures are big and clear, and they're in color, too. The writing style is not too academic -- more of a nice, conversational style that is easy to read, and very intreresting. As with all of the out of print books on my site, I find these where I can, so when it's out of stock, I can never say when/if I'll get it back in. There are no charts in this book. It is a book that teaches about the history of samplers.
