A YULETIDE WELCOME by Plum Street Samplers
This sampler is so pretty -- and it's basic enough that you really could hang it up all year. I'm not sure what my favorite part is, so I'm just going to say I love it all.
The stitching and sampler community has just experienced the loss of one of its brightest stars: Jean Lea of The Attic in Mesa, Arizona. Jean's enthusiasm for samplers old and new was evident in everything she did, and she truly delighted in passing on her love of needlework to the larger community.
Jean faced her illness with spirit and a positive attitude, and continued her involvement with her much-loved shop and retreats until the end.
No doubt her love and enthusiasm will live on in the hearts, minds, and needlework of those she touched. Her beauty remains in those who knew her.
