This was a design I created for Punch Needle & Primitive Stitcher magazine a few years ago. It WAS finished as part of a wooden drawer/plant thingy. But Hobby Lobby doesn't make them anymore, so I tore mine apart and put it back together anew, added a button and a few pins, some trim, and VOILA! FRESH! 
 
Stitched on 40 count Natural linen, but this is perfect for a scrap of fabric, as it's only 90 by 82 stitches (basket and birds are taken from an antique sampler from my collection.) Threads are Weeks Dye Works Cayenne, Chesapeake, Grits, Havana, Pebble, Oscar, Olive, Whiskey. A DMC conversion is provided. Buttons are on order! (See separate listing.)
