Wednesday, June 25th:

Oh, my goodness, it is HOT! We had such a rainy spring, and now that July is almost here, we had a 100+-degree day yesterday here in the valley. But the good news is, when it's hot outside, that's prime indoor stitching weather. Put up your feet, get an ice-cold lemonade, point the fan towards your stitching chair, and get going on those WIP's!

I had such a fun visit yesterday to M. Finkel & Daughter in Philadelphia (just 45 miles from our house!) Started in 1947, Morris Finkel was an antiques dealer on a cozy corner of this great city. His daughter, Amy, brought her love of quilts, then needlework and samplers, to the business, and she's still going strong today.

You can find the website at www.samplings.com. Samplers available for sale, as well as past (sold) samplers can be viewed there. BUT, seeing them in person was like visiting Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. Amy has a great eye for interesting, beautiful sampler, and employees there take care to spruce them up, conserving them with attention to detail. Visitors are encouraged to make an appointment.

This week, I've been doing some much-needed organizing in my work space. We moved here almost a year ago, and I still love having a dedicated place to fill orders, update my website, receive inventory, etc.

I hope everybody is finding time to stitch -- it's a great way to spend 20 minutes, an hour, a few hours, or a whole day!

My best to you and yours - Theresa

I don't carry anything I don't like -- truly! There are so many great designs, old and new, so many samplers to stitch, so many fabrics to fondle, and lots of great fibers, books, tools, trims, and more.... watch for more expansion of products -- to not only include what's good in needlework, but what's good in .... well, being good!

You're going to love my flat shipping fees -- $5 in the U.S. Really! The more you buy, the better that deal gets, so get a clickin'.
Orders are always filled in the order they are received -- shipping waits can vary from one to seven days, depending on order volume. If you can add it to your cart and pay for it, that means that item is in stock and ready to ship to you (unless it's marked as a "preorder.") If you place an order and then see that an item is marked "out of stock," you probably purchased the last one. Items are subtracted from my inventory one-by-one as orders are placed.

I appreciate your business, support, friendship, and well-wishes. They keep me going day-after-day. Cheers! - Theresa
