Caroline Sayer 1834 by Shakespeare's Peddler

This is a lovely late-summer sampler, with dusty golds, greens, and pale teal. Caroline was just 14 when she stitched her sampler. And it is quite a feat, because the sampler is 321 by 454 stitches! It's stitched on 40 count Stars Hollow Blend. The original was stitched on more of a 56 count linen, so if you're up for it, go smaller! There is over-one stitching to do (the verses), and some satin stitching. Because of the over-one verse, this sampler is not as suitable for stitching on Aida.
