THE CHECKERBOARD HOUSE: Eliza Gagin 1842 by Shakespeare's Peddler
I'm very proud of this reproduction -- it's been in progress for almost two years now, and it's finally here!!! It's suitable for all stitchers and fabrics -- no specialty stitches, no over-one, no alphabets. Just a big, beautiful, checkerboard house and lots and lots of motifs.
Stitch count is 265 by 400. There are almost 40,000 stitches in this piece! Fabric is 40 count Cow Fodder by Dames of the Needle. A fat quarter is enough for the 40-count.
Threads used are Au Ver a Soie 642, 1012, 2635 (2), 3735 (3), 3745, 3812, 3815, 3821 (2), 3822, 3831, 3835, 4511, 4523, 4533, 4623, 4624, 5023, S4153. A DMC conversion is provided. Quantities of skeins needed on 40-count are listed in parentheses after number.
